Rules and Regulations
*General Rules
1. The library is open to all students, faculty members, and staff of the college.
2. Every user must sign the entry register/biometric system while entering the library.
3. Personal belongings such as bags, files, umbrellas, and tiffin boxes are not allowed inside the library. Only notebooks and loose sheets may be carried.
4. Complete silence must be maintained inside the library. Mobile phones must be kept in silent mode.
5. Eating, drinking, or sleeping inside the library is strictly prohibited.
6. Misbehavior or violation of library discipline may lead to cancellation of membership.
*Membership & Borrowing
1. Library cards will be issued to all students and staff members. These cards are non-transferable.
2. Each student can borrow 2 books at a time for 14 days. Teachers may borrow up to 5 books for one month.
3. Books must be returned on or before the due date. A fine of Rs.5 per book per day will be charged for overdue books.
4. Reference books, journals, magazines, and newspapers will not be issued for home use; they can be used only within the library.
5. If a book is lost or damaged, the borrower must either replace it with the latest edition or pay the cost of the book along with a fine as decided by the librarian.
*Use of Library Resources
1. Readers should handle books, journals, computers, and furniture with care.
2. Marking, underlining, writing, or tearing pages of library materials is strictly prohibited.
3. Users may use the digital library/computer facilities for academic purposes only. Accessing social media or unrelated sites is not permitted.
*Special Services
1. Question banks, project reports, and previous year examination papers are available for reference.
2. Photocopying/printing facilities are available on a nominal payment basis (subject to copyright regulations).
3. Students may approach the librarian for assistance in locating resources, reference services, or orientation.
* Closing Rules
1. All library materials must be returned before the final examination, failing which results may be withheld.
2. Before leaving the college, students must obtain a “Library Clearance Certificate.”
(Note: The Principal/Librarian reserves the right to amend or update these rules as and when required for the benefit of the users.
